Gnomeo and Juliet

Little JR was surely cheered up when we got to watch Gnomeo and Juliet earlier. It topped the box office weekend as I heard from the news. It is described to be a version of Shakespeare’s play which was set in the world of warring indoor and outdoor, RED and BLUE gnomes. Juliet belongs to the red gnomes in the red colored garden while Gnomeo belongs to the blue gnomes in the blue colored garden.

It is a quiet a nice movie to watch with your kids. I just don’t know if they already heard of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet though. My little JR surely does not know yet. But can call and recognize Gnomeo and Juliet though in the animated movie.

Some trivia you might want to know from what I know *wink*… Juliet’s voice is that of Emily Blunt from the movie Gulliver’s Travel and The Devil Wears Prada. While Gnomeo’s voice is that of James McAvoy of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
