Not To Panic
The news over at CNN around noon seem to be assuring us here that there will be no radiation cloud or rain coming over even with the trade winds since it will be blowing off shore from Japan and not towards the direction to our country. Well before I fetched little JR at school, I read over at Twitter that there are text messages going around about a radiation rain that is said to be cancerous or something. Some if not a lot of people got worried and are at a point of panicking. We should not panic and we could only pray that no earthquake nor tsunami as destructive as that came upon Japan would happen.
I put my trust on the accuracy of the assuring report from CNN. I went off to school to fetch little JR but the school was unusually quiet. Even the big school nearby was quiet already at this hour but I know it is exam week so most kids were already dismissed by noon due to half day classes on final exam week. But little JR’s school was unusually quiet and desserted. Then I met a father fetching his three beautiful daughters. I overheard the bubbly second daughter telling his dad that the teacher panicked because of the tsunami.
Then I realized that the kids who were still not fetched were not allowed to go out of the classroom to play in the open field. The guard also told me a few minutes of waiting that I was supposed to fetch my child at the classroom. So it seems they were taking precautions.
But best to remember in times like this not to panic.
